Today, September 27, 2015, the 5th Commemoration of Patriarch Master “Võ Sư Chưởng Môn Lê Sáng” was held at Tổ Đường Vovinam with the participation of the Masters of the Vovinam Việt Võ Đạo School’s Management Masters Council “Hội Đồng Võ Sư Chưởng Quản Môn Phái Vovinam Việt Võ Đạo”, Mr. Lê Quốc Ân – President of the Vietnam Vovinam Federation, masters and instructors representing provinces in Vietnam and districts of Ho Chi Minh City.

On this occasion, and as unanimously proposed by the Masters of the Vovinam Việt Võ Đạo School’s Management Masters Council, Võ Sư Chánh Chưởng Quản Nguyễn Văn Chiếu receives the white belt “Bạch Đai”, reserved to the leader of our Vovinam Việt Võ Đạo school, in the spirit of Võ Sư Chưởng Môn Lê Sáng’s decision from March 31, 2010 , which established the Hội Đồng Võ Sư Chưởng Quản Môn Phái.

An extract of the Statutes of the Vovinam Việt Võ Đạo School’s Management Masters Council by Patriarch Master “Chưởng Môn Lê Sáng” (signed on March 31st, 2010):

“Since the creation of the Vovinam Việt Võ Đạo school by our late Grand Master Nguyễn Lộc, we have known ups and downs, and gone through challenging periods. But our school has overcome them all and developed at home as well as abroad; this reflects how much Vovinam is bringing to the human kind, and has been possible only thanks to the efforts and determination of all the Masters and Instructors.

In order to develop the school in accordance with our three goals and the five beliefs, we have to adapt the way our school is managed and organized. Now that our school has developed so much at home as abroad, we have to change our way of organizing, which has become obsolete. This is why, in my responsibility as Patriarch Master towards the future of our school, I hereby proclaim our new organization committee.

This organization committee, which shall be called: “The Vovinam Việt Võ Đạo School’s Management Masters Council” (Hội Đồng Võ Sư Chưởng Quản Môn Phái Vovinam Việt Võ Đạo), will replace the organizations in place thus far. The head of the Management Masters Council shall be called “Chánh Chưởng Quản” and is the leader of our school. Thus, the name “Chưởng Môn” shall cease to be used in the future.

This way, from now on, the names “Sáng Tổ Nguyễn Lộc” (Founder Master Nguyễn Lộc) and “Chưởng Môn Lê Sáng” (Patriarch Master Lê Sáng) will remain associated to distinct and specific periods of our school.”

The European Vovinam Viet Vo Dao Federation would like to send their sincere congratulations to Grand Master – Võ Sư Chánh Chưởng Quản Nguyễn Văn Chiếu. His new belt is a well deserved recognition for the development and leading work he has done for decades, to promote and organise Vovinam to the highest standard in Vietnam and in the world.
We, at the EVVF, pledge to help and support Võ Sư Chánh Chưởng Quản Nguyễn Văn Chiếu and the Masters of the Council, by continuing our work and to develop even further our European Vovinam activities, according to his guidance.

We wish Võ Sư Chánh Chưởng Quản Nguyễn Văn Chiếu health, and continued success in leading our Vovinam school to the next level.
